Reverend Arlyn Macdonald has been the senior minister at the Spiritual Awareness Center for the past 10 years. She also serves as Dean of the Spiritual Development Institute and teaches ministerial classes. She was ordained in the Church of Truth in Pasadena, CA. She holds a BA in Community Arts and Small Business Management from Loretto Heights College, Denver, CO and an equivalent of a Master’s Degree in Religious Philosophy. She graduated from the Albert Grier School for Ministerial Studies. She is currently working towards her Ph.D. She is a Certified Huna Teacher/Counselor and has written three books based on the ancient Hawaiian teachings of Huna.
She is a strong advocate for peace and directs the annual Week of Unity and Peace every September. In 2011, she was recognized for her peace efforts with the International Peace Award by the Western Colorado Friends of the Himalayas.
Her ministry is based on helping people change their lives in a spiritually nourishing environment with a focus on peace. She continues to build community at the Spiritual Awareness Center and is now working to build the Spiritual Awareness Global Communities program.
She lives in Montrose, CO, with her husband Donald. Family is very important to her, both her personal family and her spiritual family. She is looking forward to helping expand nurturing spiritual communities to other parts of the world.
